Kindle Threatens- Who?

iPad vs Fire
Some believe the world revolves around Apple’s vision of technology.  There are those of us who believe mobility is about being mobile, frills be damned.  Yes, I have an Android, but, it has more to do with my handicaps (eyesight & dexterity) and less about BB’s shortcomings.
For most people price determines their consumption.  The era of “buy now- pay later” has ended.  If you doubt me check the US GDP.  As a consumption society we are on the ropes.  But, that has little to do with the iPad and more to do with Kindle’s Fire.  The people who can afford the best will step up.  But, for the average person, a fancy reader w/internet, email, music, movies for under $200 is doable.
On the other side of the equation, Apple faces a mobile world soon to be commoditized- in that world Apple loses.  Look for a growing number of $200 tablets in 2012, as the Android phone takes over the market.
